WWU is in its 26th year as a member of NCAA Division II since joining the ranks in September 1998. WWU Athletics is enjoying another banner year, not only in competition, but also in the classroom with student-athlete success across the board. Recent success has been highlighted by the women’s soccer team winning its second national championship in 2022, the women’s basketball program winning back-to-back GNAC tournament titles, Track & Field and Cross Country sweeping the last six conference championships for men and women and men's golf reaching the national tournament in 2023.
