Thank you for taking the time to visit our Give Day page and for considering giving to our program. While we had a challenging year in 2023, this group has been training hard and is relentless in their pursuit of excellence that the Viking Volleyball Program is known for.
We have spent a lot of time in the off-season digging deeper into who we want to be, what we represent, and where we want to go. Our motto thus far is 100% in the 95%. What we mean by that is this…the actual amount of time we have in contact with the ball is about 5% of what we can do to be great in this program. It is the other 95% that truly matters. It is the life between contacts on the court; it is the contacts we make with people in the community; it is the care we take of ourselves with sleep, nutrition, and stress management; it is the appreciation and gratitude we show for those who support us; it is leading as a village and being the first followers of those who step up. If we delve into those things, the 5% will be so much easier, and that’s our commitment this off-season.
So why the heck does that relate to our Give Day? Well, while the student-athletes are fully invested in what we are doing, we all know that we cannot do it alone. It takes the generous contributions of others who believe in and support the values of our team…it really does take a village. We ask you to join us in our pursuit of keeping WWU Volleyball at the level we have been so grateful for. We need your assistance so we can continue to compete against the best, train at our best, be our best as we represent this university and community.
Your donations will go to travel, meals, equipment, pre-season housing, and other opportunities to get us to the next level. While the student-athletes are committed to things they control, we ask if you can help us with the rest. We are forever grateful for your support in whatever way that is!
