The Western Kinesiology Club has been committed since its conception in 2014, to helping students primarily within the Health and Human Development department in preparing to enter their desired career fields during their attendance at Western.
We work to connect with professionals in Kinesiology-specific careers, to broaden club members' understanding of all the different career paths that are available within this discipline. The Kinesiology Club additionally works to connect members with other Kinesiology majors, guide members in securing an internship or field experience, and put on Kinesiology-related events throughout the academic year.
In addition to the 5K fun run that we are planning for next year, we are also hoping to host a CPR/AED/First Aid training. This certification is necessary for students to complete their internship or field experience hours needed for graduation. It is the Kinesiology Club's goal to cover the cost of this required training for club members who are facing financial challenges.
