The WWU hip hop dance team is a group of dancers who enjoy the art of hip hop. The team performs all over the Bellingham and even down to the Seattle area. You may mostly see us at basketball games because those are our biggest events. We as a team hold fundraisers like bake sales throughout the year, we make merch to sell, and we do a lot of bonding as a team to really build those relationships. We also hold workshops throughout the year to build relationships with other hip hop groups as well as just being able to have an excuse to dance more! As a team we are exposed to different cultures which is seen through the different dance styles taught through our very own team members and other outside choreographers. This upcoming school year we are hoping to get back what we missed and performing all the places we can, and doing all that we can to make the year successful. We are fundraising to help pay for expenses throughout the year. For example, to pay for a place to practice and for uniforms. We are excited to see what this next year has in store for us and are looking forward to hopefully being back in room together with our team!
