We are so excited to be honoring Nancy Bluestein-Johnson, an instrumental member of the College of the Environment on the Peninsulas, by raising funds for a scholarship in her name! In the past 15 years she has made a huge impact by championing the Peninsulas program and connecting students to four-year degree opportunities in environmental science and studies. The student opportunity has grown and continues to grow because of the energy and dedication that Nancy brings to our unique program.
This scholarship will specifically support students that are transferring from community colleges to the College of the Environment on the Peninsulas. Often times, there are not enough resources for these students to transition between two institutions, which places additional financial stress on students as they seek to accomplish their academic goals. With an endowed scholarship, there would be annual scholarships awarded for this purpose. In order to reach an endowed scholarship we must raise $25,000! With your help, I know that we can do it.
Gifts of all sizes really make a difference. Please also consider sharing this link on your social media to spread the word about an amazing scholarship and honoring a faculty member that has dedicated so much time and passion into the College of the Environment on the Peninsulas.
Thank you!
