The Salish Sea Studio
Since the mid 1970s, the audio recording program has been a core part of Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies’ identity. Thousands of students have spent hours in the original studio on the first floor of the Fairhaven Building. In spring of 2024, Fairhaven College opened the Salish Sea Studio. The Salish Sea Studio is a state-of-the-art recording studio and central piece in the audio recording program and the Audio, Technology, and Society minor. Made possible by the generous donation of Roy Hanson, a Fairhaven graduate from the 1970s, the Salish Sea Studio is unlike any studio on the West Coast and provides an amazing opportunity for Fairhaven and Western Students.
How You Can Support the Studio
Your generous support of the Salish Sea Studio can go a long way in making sure our students have the musical equipment, studio instruction, and cutting-edge recording software necessary to make them competitive in the music industry after graduation. Your gift to the Salish Sea Studio can help ensure that the next Quincy Jones, Billie Eilish, and Rick Rubin come from Fairhaven College.
Give today to support Western students learning to change the world through music!
