SEA Discovery Center
Help SEA Discovery Center build a new Giant Pacific Octopus Habitat!

Thank you for supporting WWU's SEA Discovery Center!

With your support, we will build a new Giant Pacific Octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) habitat at SEA Discovery Center!

WWU's free public aquarium, SEA Discovery Center is located in Poulsbo, WA and is visited by 20,000+ visitors annually and 800+ local school kids. Built by the community, for the community, SEA displays hundreds of native marine species in a variety of habitats. The Octopus habitat was once a highlight of the aquarium, but since reopening post-pandemic, it has been deemed inoperable and is being replaced.

The Giant Pacific Octopus Habitat will be more than an exhibit - it will expand educational programming for local elementary students, support WWU's environmental programming on the Peninsula, contribute to the economic vitality of the area, and will help inspire more people to become stewards of the Salish Sea.

We invite you to join us! Construction is underway and completion is scheduled for May 2025.

As a self-supporting entity of Western Washington University, SEA is responsible for raising funds to support its operations, outreach and exhibits. SEA relies on individual, foundation and corporate donations to operate the FREE public aquarium and provide educational programming.

Visit us in person at 18743 Front Street NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370 or online at SEA.WWU.EDU, @SEADiscoveryCenter.
