Welcome to the Department of Psychology Give Day Page!
This year, our collective generosity is particularly important due to reduced national and state financial support for higher education. Western has experienced significant budget cuts this year, and additional reductions are likely.
CALL TO ACTION: Please provide a donation during Give Day to help us provide vital scholarships and travel awards to students! Your support this year is more critical than ever before.
Thanks to your generosity during Give Day last year, we raised approximately $13,600 for student scholarships and travel awards! Please help us with your support we know we can do even better this year.
Your donations can go even farther with this amazing matching opportunity!
2x Matching Opportunity for Student Conference Travel
foundry10 will match donations 2:1 (up to $10,000) to the student travel fund.
Here’s how it works: Every $1 you give will be increased by a factor of two! For example, your $100 donation will receive $200 in 2X matching funds, resulting in a total donation of $300!
These matching funds will support student research and conference presentations. Student participation in research activities and attendance at professional academic conferences is vital as they learn about and make contributions to the field, and for when applying for employment and graduate school.
In 2024-2025, Give Day donations to the Psychology Department allowed more than 50 students to present their research at regional, national, and international conferences and network with professionals in the field! More than $10,000 of Give Day donations supported student conference travel and advanced their professional development and career outlook! Thank you!
