Dear Friends and Alums of the WWU MBA Program:
Each year the WWU Foundation encourages our College and Program to reach out for a special day of giving, which you all know as GIVE DAY at WWU. This organized effort around helping fund our Programs is appreciated, but the truth is that our need extends across the academic year and often exceed what we are able to do in a few short days.
As a state funded program, so much of what we provide as 'extra' to our students depends on this pool of funds. What types of things do these funds support you might ask? Here is a list of examples from recent years:
- Welcome to the MBA Gear for New Students (professional portfolio, backpack with MBA logo, etc.)
- Funding to bring special speakers to campus (faculty and industry professionals)
- Extracurricular workshops for our students (negotiations, interviewing, etc.)
- Professional headshots and business cards for our students
- Direct scholarships to students to fund their coursework
- Travel and registration so our students can attend our regional MBA Student Conference in the Seattle area
- Alumni Events to help connect current students with alums and their companies
As friends and alums of our MBA Program tracks, we hope that when you look back you see the impact that your graduate education has had on your professional journey, and that you might consider paying that forward to our amazing group of MBAs. Donations of all sizes help lighten the financial burden for our current students and help us as faculty and staff to provide the best possible programming outside of the curriculum for all our MBAs.
Wishing you all the best this spring and beyond and thank you for considering our Programs during Give Day 2025,
Kati Johnson (on behalf of our Operations Team, Faculty, and Students)
