Funding Priorities

This year, we have defined several exciting initiatives that will support our MSCM/OPS students, faculty, and programs. Please donate today to advance the following opportunities for "MSCM & Operations" at WWU:

MSCM/OPS Majors attending the 2023 ASCM Connect Annual Conference with Alumni Deborah Dull

MSCM/OPS Scholarships – GOAL: $20,000

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the MSCM/Ops program gave over $60,000 of scholarship support and there were still more students to be supported. Scholarships provide necessary funding for students to complete their degree with low or no loan debt. Thanks to Give Day 2024, the department increased their awards and provided more scholarships for diversity MSCM/OPS majors. Support MSCM/OPS students to assist in their education and managing the challenges from the pandemic. These scholarships will continue our tradition of rewarding hard work and providing a way for talented students to excel in their degrees and careers. We are seeking $20,000 for merit and needs-based scholarships.

Available to Promise, Boeing, Fastenal Case Competitions - GOAL $5,000

This year, OPS Alumni Deborah Dull organized her ATP Scholarship as a Case competition. There were four teams of 3 students competing in analyzing and delivering a 20-minute presentation on a circularity and AI challenge case. The First Place team each won $1,000, while the Second Place team received $500 each. We hope to increase the scholarship awards for the ATP, Boeing, and Fastenal case competitions.

MSCM/OPS ATP Case Competition Team Members

ASCM Student Chapter Events and Connect Conference – GOAL: $5,000

We have always had a dedicated and highly professional ASCM Student Chapter that organizes speakers, workshops, social events, volunteer activities, professional development dinners, and attendance at the ASCM Connect Annual Meeting & World Congress. Please give to expand our student engagement and achieve our goal.

ASCM Members and Wednesday Meeting with Paul Van Metre

Alumni Engagement and Professional Development Events – GOAL: $5,000

Help our students and faculty develop networking opportunities and maintain connections with alumni and industry partners through social and professional events. These funds will sponsor Alumni Reunion events in the greater Seattle area and support case competitions, facility tours, conversation hours, and networking dinners with speakers and panelists in our Operations Management courses and MSCM Information Sessions. See pictures of past events below and please give today to achieve our goal.
