Club Sports Mission Statement
The mission of the Sport Clubs program at Western Washington University is to promote individual leadership through group participation. Campus Recreation Services is committed to providing resources to campus community members as they strive to attain their goals both academically and through their sport club involvement.
Why Support Club Sports?
We currently feature 25 active sport clubs here at WWU in a wide variety of sports and activities, so odds are we have a sport you may care about! You can help students have better opportunities in completive sports. Being a student athlete often helps improve academic success, fitness, collaborative skills and more.
Although club sports sounds casual, a number of these teams such as hockey, lacrosse, and rugby compete at the highest level available in the region against much bigger and better funded programs and have still brought championships home to Bellingham. Many of these teams are self-funded and even just a little support can go a long ways in making a season unforgettable for a deserving WWU team. Thank you for considering giving to club sports and making a difference at Western! Visit our Active Sport Clubs Page for a listing of websites, contact information and social media pages for each team.
