Why Give to the College of Business and Economics?
Teaching and learning are central to CBE's mission, and we are committed supporting our students throughout their education so that graduates are well prepared for successful and fulfilling careers. In order to support our students throughout their time at Western, we have set three strategic priorities: Inclusiveness, Globalization, and Professional Readiness.
Each year we provide a range of support for our students, from academic scholarships to support for travel and conferences. In the last year, our students have adapted to the challenges of COVID by changing the ways and places they access learning opportunities, and other challenges as well, and we continue to look for ways to support them in these uncertain circumstances. The support of our community of alumni, donors, and friends is integral in these efforts to focus our priorities on inclusion, globalization and professional readiness.
Impact: Your gift to support the College of Business and Economics will help to provide the best possible learning experience for our students by supporting student scholarships, mentorship programs, and other priorities that intersect with Inclusiveness, Globalization and Professional Readiness efforts across the college.
Funding Priorities: CBE fundraising priorities align with the three strategic priorities:
CBE Departments and Special Projects: You can also choose to give to any of the Departments listed below! Some departments and programs within the College of Business and Economics have chosen to highlight special projects on WWU Give Day. You can click to read more about these selected projects below.
One of our biggest priorities this year is towards inclusiveness, the CBE Students of Color Opportunity Scholarship. We acknowledge the need for our college and the business community at large to become more diverse, inclusive and effective. BIPOC populations face unique and systemic barriers to succeeding in business. These barriers contribute to an underrepresentation in undergraduate and graduate business programs, and in business focused careers.
