The first $1,000 in gifts to International Business Study Abroad Scholarships will be matched dollar for dollar by Professor Tom Roehl, who has been teaching in IBUS since 1999 and is dedicated to the success of his students and the program. WWU Food Pantry Challenge
The first $2,000 in gifts to the AS Food Pantry will be matched by WWU Foundation Board Member Kris Ilgenfritz and Doug Ilgenfritz. Thank you in advance for your help in ensuring students don't go hungry.
The first $3,000 donated to the Lynda Goodrich and Carmen Dolfo Endowment for Excellence (Women's Basketball) will be matched dollar for dollar by Viking Hall of Famer Anne Cooper, '86 and Richard Barkosky.
Steve Sulkin Fund for Shannon Point Marine Center
Each $100 gift to the Steve Sulkin Fund, for the first $1,000, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Dennis Waller and Kathleen Kitto (who herself played a critically important leadership role at Shannon Point Marine Center as Special Assistant to the Provost). This is a great opportunity to multiply the impact of your gift and its ability to support and encourage excellence in Marine Science.
Morse Challenge for Undergraduate Research in Chemistry
The first $20,000 in gifts to the Morse Endowment for Student Research Experiences in Chemistry will be matched dollar for dollar by Drs. Karen and Joe Morse, providing transformational opportunities for students to work closely with faculty on summer research projects.
Robert and Bess Christman Scholarship Challenge for Geology Students in Science Education
The first $1500 in gifts to the Robert and Bess Christman Scholarship will be matched dollar for dollar by their daughter Maureen Christman, in loving memory of the many ways they positively impacted the WWU and Bellingham Community.
Piper Carr Guitar Challenge
The first $20,000 in gifts to the WWU Guitar Program will be matched by generous alumnus George Piper Carr, '92 to provide much needed resources for WWU's fine musicians and all that they will become.
Top 5 WWU Fundraisers
The WWU Alumni Association will reward the top five areas that secure the most donors with a bonus of $1,000 each!
WWU Give Day Challenge Pool
A percentage of every gift (up to the first $5,000) not matched by another challenge (unless otherwise posted) will be eligible for Challenge Pool Funds. Thank you to our generous board members and supporters who have provided the Challenge Pool funds: Jack Cullen, '73 Sydney Hunsdale, Bryan Page, '03 Lane and Karen Richards, '82 & '89, Colette Taylor, '87 Jerry Thon, '75 and Truc Thon, '82 and generous donors to the Western Fund. The Challenge Pool dollars will be allocated as a percentage:
