Transfer Student Scholarships

Many college students with big dreams start at a community or technical college and transfer to Western to finish their degree. For some students this is a more accessible path to accomplish their goals.
Beginning this Fall, Western guarantees enrollment of transfer students from Washington community and technical colleges! Students with a 2.5 GPA or higher will have clear, guaranteed pathways to Western, ensuring a smooth transfer with no lost credits or time toward a four-year degree.
Scholarships help students make the step to transfer to Western. This is a vital part of reaching their goal of completing a bachelor's degree, and making a significant difference in the world.
Western Welcome Student Scholarship
The Western Welcome Scholarship improves access for students who, while qualified to attend Western, might not apply or accept an offer of admission due to the funding gap that exists between a WWU financial aid package and the typical cost to attend Western. This scholarship addresses WWU’s commitment to increasing access to higher education to historically underrepresented students, including those who are the first in their family to attend college.
You can help support incoming students who may have difficulty paying tuition and perhaps thought a Western education was out of reach. Your gift means we can share this unique Western experience with even more deserving students.
Other Scholarships
Western offers hundreds of scholarships for selected areas of study. Through the WWU Scholarship Portal and the Admissions process, students can complete a single application to be automatically considered for all Western scholarships they may be eligible for.
