Club Sports Mission Statement
The mission of the Western Washington University Sport Clubs program is to promote individual leadership and growth through group athletic participation. Campus Recreation Services is committed to providing resources to campus community members as they strive to attain their goals both academically and through their sports club involvement.
Why Support a Club Sport?
We currently feature 25 active sports clubs here at WWU in a wide variety of sports and activities, so odds are we have a sport you may care about! You can help students have better opportunities in competitive sports. Being a student-athlete often helps improve academic success, fitness, collaborative skills, and more.
Although club sports sound casual, many of our teams compete at the highest level available in the region for their sport against larger and better-funded programs. Yet the Vikings boast many playoff experiences and championships over the years. Being on one of these teams can be highly competitive, fun, and rewarding. Many student-athletes build strong bonds with their team and make friends for life. Go Vikings!
Many of these teams are self-funded, and even a little support can go a long way toward making a season unforgettable for a deserving WWU team.
