Support the Growth of Local Small Businesses

The WWU Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides no-cost, confidential advising, training, and resources to help small businesses grow and succeed. Our Certified Business Advisors (CBAs) work one-on-one with clients to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, improve operations, and navigate transitions. The WWU SBDC serves both Whatcom and Kitsap counties as part of our affiliation with Western Washington University.

In 2025 we made a significant impact on the Whatcom and Kitsap County small business communities:

Provided advising to over 750 business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs
Assisted more than 50 entrepreneurs in launching or purchasing a new business
Assisted clients in acquiring more than $10 Million in capital investments
