At WWU, we are proud to host around 200 international students each year from over 40 countries. These students bring valuable global perspectives that enrich both our campus and the local community. However, their path to a degree often includes unique hurdles.
Why your support matters:
Limited Aid: Many international students must rely heavily on family savings to pursue their education as they pay significantly higher tuition than U.S. students and do not qualify for federal financial aid.
Employment Restrictions: International students are not easily able to work to help fund their education as their visas largely restrict them to on-campus jobs that aren't part of the work study program.
Global Challenges: In today's unpredictable global landscape, unforeseen financial emergencies – from fluctuating exchange rates and family crises to unexpected medical expenses – can jeopardize years of hard work and the ability to complete their degrees.
Give to the International Student Support Fund Today
Every gift, no matter the size, sends a powerful message: International students are valued and we are committed to their success at Western Washington University.
To those who have given in the past: Thank you. Your generosity has already helped students overcome crises and stay enrolled.
Today, we invite you to renew that support - or begin it. Thank you for your support and generosity.
