Computer Science is exciting, socially impactful, and provides many challenging, rewarding, and lucrative career paths for graduates to pursue. Our faculty specialize in areas such as Game Programming, Mobile Application Development, Machine Learning, Technology for Social Good, Robotics, AI and Cybersecurity. We are committed to promoting a welcoming and supportive environment where students from all backgrounds can be inspired and successful. We strive to provide a hands-on learning experience, with ample opportunities for group project work and student collaborations.
Five Western Washington University Cybersecurity students have been awarded highly competitive Department of War (DoW) Scholarships.

Karish Bernard, Jayden Gatewood, Brian Lucio, and Quinn Stone were awarded the DoW Cyber Service Academy (CSA) Scholarship. Alex Glydewell was awarded the DoW Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service.
Our two newest degree programs BS Data Science and BA in Education in Computer Science are allowing us to serve more students than ever. This growth is in direct response to the interest and demand from students and the tech industry. To accommodate this growth, we are excited about Kaiser Borsari Hall, which houses new lecture rooms, a robotics lab, along with student project and study spaces. It is fast becoming a place of innovation, collaboration, and connections.
