Our students are doing amazing research. Your donations allow them to attend academic conferences, present their research, receive feedback, and continue putting Western on the map as the best place for undergraduate linguistics!
We want our students to be wholeheartedly focused on their learning, not worrying about how they’ll pay for college or whether they’ll be faced with the burden of academic debt, which is why, because of your donations, we were able to award over $5,500 in undergraduate scholarships last year alone.
"Receiving the Anne Lobeck Linguistics Scholarship made me feel like my hard work was recognized by more than just myself. It allowed me to work less hours so that I could devote more time to my research, and I have now been part of two research groups in the Linguistics Department and one in the Computer Science Department.
