Welcome to the Department of Psychology Give Day Page!
This year, your generosity is especially important due to decreased funding for higher education. Western has experienced significant budget cuts, and additional reductions are likely. Thanks to your generosity during Give Day last year, we raised approximately $17,250! Please help us exceed this amount this year!
CALL TO ACTION: Your donation on Give Day helps us improve the lives of our students by providing essential scholarships and travel awards! These awards provide valuable experiences that help them gain employment and admission to graduate school.
Travel awards: Your donation to Travel Awards will allow students to present their research and scholarship at regional and national conferences! Last year, Give Day donations to the Psychology Department allowed 54 students to present their research at twelve regional, national, and international conferences and network with professionals in the field! More than $10,000 of Give Day donations supported student conference travel and advanced their professional development and career outlook! Thank you!
Scholarships: Your donation to one or more of the following scholarships will allow students to receive vital funding for their education. Adams/Woodring Scholarship, Annabelle L. King Graduate Fellow in School Counseling, Center for Cross-Cultural Research Tuition Waiver Scholarship, Dave Nelson Memorial Scholarship for Mental Health Counseling, Ethan Remmel Memorial Scholarship, Frank and Ann Nugent Mental Health Counseling Graduate Scholarship, Mees Memorial Scholarship, Merle Prim Scholarship for Diversity and Inclusion.
