Fairhaven College offers its students incredible opportunities, just as all colleges at Western do. One of those opportunities is an education in studio recording and audio engineering. In the past, those opportunities have existed at the Fairhaven Recording Studio on Champion St. downtown. Now, thanks to a generous lead donor, we're moving and renaming that studio.
It will be on campus in the Fairhaven building, offering more equitable access to students who want to study in those programs. It will also have a new name reflecting the land on which it sits: The Salish Sea Recording Studio.
The Salish Sea Recording Studio will be located within the first-floor lobby of the existing 1970s brutalist Fairhaven College building, and will consist of the main studio, voice recording room, control room, and lounge totaling approximately 1,000 square feet.
Give today to support Western students learning to change the world through music!
