Funding Priorities
This year, we have defined exciting initiatives that will help our students, faculty, and programs. Please donate today to advance the following opportunities for "MSCM & Operations" at WWU:
MSCM/OPS Majors attending the 2023 ASCM Connect Annual Conference with Alumni Deborah Dull
Merit-based Scholarships – GOAL: $15,000
In 2023, the MSCM/Ops program gave over $40,000 of scholarship support and there were still more students to be supported. Scholarships provide necessary funding for students to complete their degree with low or no loan debt. Thanks to Give Day 2023, the department increased their awards and provided more scholarships for diversity and MSCM/OPS majors. Support MSCM/OPS students to assist in their education and managing the challenges from the pandemic. These scholarships will continue our tradition of rewarding hard work and providing a way for talented students to excel in their degrees and careers. We are seeking $15,000 for merit-based scholarships.

ASCM Student Chapter/ProDev Committee – GOAL: $10,000
We have always had a dedicated and highly professional student ASCM chapter that organizes speakers, workshops, social events, volunteer activities, professional development dinners, and attendance at the ASCM Connect Annual Meeting & World Congress from Monday, September 9 to Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Austin, Texas. Please give to expand our student engagement and achieve our goal.
Social Media Marketing Intern – GOAL: $5,000
Your funds will support hiring a motivated and creative student to research and develop a marketing campaign, social media content, and brochures for promoting the MSCM/OPS programs. Our goal of $5,000 allows us to hire a student to serve as a Social Media Marketing Intern for increasing the visibility of and enrollment in our MSCM/OPS programs.
Alumni Engagement and Professional Development Events – GOAL: $5,000
Help our students and faculty develop networking opportunities and maintain connections with alumni and industry partners through social and professional events. These funds will sponsor Alumni Reunion events in the greater Seattle area and support case competitions, facility tours, conversation hours, and networking dinners with speakers and panelists in our Operations Management courses and ASCM meetings. Please give today to achieve our goal.
