Computer Science

Computer Science is exciting, socially impactful, and provides many challenging, rewarding, and lucrative jobs for graduates to pursue. Our faculty specialize in areas such as Game Programming, Mobile Application Development, Machine Learning, Technology for Social Good, and Cybersecurity and ethics. The Computer Science Department is committed to promoting economic, gender, and racial diversity within our community and the field at-large.

New degree programs have been recently added to our growing department allowing us to serve more students through the Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Bachelor of Arts in Education in Computer Science. This growth is in direct response to the interest and demand from students as well as tech employers. To accommodate this growth, we are excited about the construction of Kaiser-Bosari Hall, which will house new lecture rooms, and student spaces for Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. It will be a place of innovation, collaboration, and connections.

We strive to provide Computer Science students with the best support during their time at WWU. Opportunities such as attending conferences, coding and cybersecurity competitions, scholarship awards, and club events are some of the many ways we make use of donations from alumni and friends to support our students. You can help us to continue to offer these amazing opportunities through a donation to one of our various funding choices. Your donation will directly impact the lives of students in the Computer Science Department.
