Inspiring Innovative Marketers! 

Make an impact on inclusive excellence in WWU MARKETING

Our Goal

With the $30,000 we raised from our amazing Give Day donors last year, we awarded 20 need-based scholarships. We were able to support EVERY Pell Grant-eligible applicant and EVERY 1st-generation applicant. Next year we would love to be able to reward 25 marketing students with scholarships!

This year, our goal is to reach 100 Give Day donations. 

Every donation directly supports our marketing students and our mission of Inclusive Excellence, Career Readiness, and Sustainability.

Our social media intern is fully funded by Give Day donations. 

This position focuses on inclusive community building in the Marketing Program.

Your 2022 gifts have allowed the department to sponsor the Student Marketing Association, our 100% student-led club.

You generosity allows us to sponsor the annual SMA Case Competition and hire a professional photographer to provide LinkedIn headshots for the competitors.

Here is what else your generosity has done:

  • Funded our Behavioral Research Lab
  • Supported students' participation in conferences, events, professional readiness activities, co-curricular experiences, and networking opportunities
  • Supported our faculty with research materials, professional development opportunities, and conference funding
  • Funded alumni engagement events that help connect our students and grow our program

Our Plan

Half of your gift goes directly to need-based student scholarships. In these uncertain times, need-based scholarships will be even more important to students without the means to finance their education on their own. We have disbursed nearly $30,000 in need-based scholarships over the past few years - and it is all thanks to you!

Part of your gift also provides financial support to students in need through our new Marketing Program Professional Development and Relief Fund. In its first year, the fund disbursed nearly $1500 in support to our students for essentials like food and textbooks.
