WWU Adoptees Alliance provides a safe and inclusive space for all adoptees (international and domestic) as well as those who support adoptees. Our goal is to provide support and understanding to fellow adoptees through community engagement and visibility.
We meet weekly to discuss various topics around adoption such as:
- identity
- citizenship
- forming a community of adoptees on Western's campus
We will be using donations to hold club food outings for our members to bond and also contribute to the University of Oregan's Connection Conference which was an adoption conference hosted by ASU Adopted Students United that WWU Adoptee's Alliance collaborated with. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
We also hold an annual event for November (National Adoption Awareness Month) which showcases our stories as students who are adoptees.
