Special Education & Education Leadership

In the Special Education Program we work to develop teachers that:

  • Build an inclusive society
  • Help others succeed
  • Make a difference in the lives of children
  • Develop effective skills for working with persons with disabilities and children at-risk
  • Effectively and compassionately teach students ages 3 – 21 in special education
  • Be a professional in agencies or community organizations that promote social justice

The Educational Administration Program seeks to prepare the next generation of leaders in education, from principals to superintendents.

Your support matters:

It’s no secret that pursuing an advanced degree or certificate can put a strain on a candidate’s budget. Our aim is to create a financial resource through the Western Foundation that will help continue Western’s tradition of selecting and preparing truly extraordinary candidates for school leadership.

Your gift will be used to help those who aspire to school leadership roles with costs such as:

  • books
  • materials
  • tuition
  • professional development opportunities

Please help us support and educate our students so they can make a difference!
