About

Western’s nationally acclaimed The College of the Environment is the oldest environmental college in the nation and a recognized leader in producing the next generation of environmental professionals and stewards.

Based on the College's interdisciplinary curricula, The Environmental College on the Peninsulas offers students in the greater Puget Sound region the opportunity to earn either a B.A. in Environmental Policy or a B.S. in Environmental Science

Students with an associate's degree can transfer to Western at one of our three convenient locations in Everett, Port Angeles or Poulsbo to complete their bachelor’s degree through The College of the Environment on the Peninsulas.

Your Impact

Your gifts to Huxley on the Peninsulas funds student-faculty research, such as Dr. Jenise Bauman’s restoration project at Port Orchard's Harper Creek Estuary,  student conference attendance, ensures the success of underrepresented students, and of course, provides scholarships. Your gifts will, also, fund ferry fees for student travel across the Sound for the essential hands on field labs and seminars that expand student skills and knowledge. Through your support, you help us ensure that students have the kinds of experiences that make a degree from The College of the Environment a unique and highly-regarded accomplishment.
