The College of the Environment Small Grants are awarded during Fall and Spring Quarters by the college's Graduate Program Committee.
Students write a detailed grant proposal including research methods and a detailed budget. The committees evaluate each request on it's academic merits and awards the grants to the students if their proposal merits funding.
Funds like the College of the Environment Small Grant are crucial to help future leaders of the environment complete their research. Lack of funding causes students to have to change their research projects, or scale them back to fit their ability to pay.
Since Fall of 2011, over 40 Environmental Graduate Students have received support from the Small Grant. Your support is crucial to helping us continue to train and equip tomorrows leaders in the environmental sector.
Thank you for your support!
