OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT THE MERLE PRIM SCHOLARSHIP
The Prim scholarship is available to ethnic minority students who are Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience majors and have a demonstrated financial need. Currently the scholarship awards a tuition gift of $7000 per year. We hope to grow the endowment to award a full tuition gift of $10000 per year. A 2 to 1 match for the Prim Scholarship is available this year! The anonymous donors are Western alumni and former students of Merle Prim's.
OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT STUDENT RESEARCH & CONFERENCE PRESENTATION
We are committed to assisting students further develop their careers. Your donation supporting student research activities at Western and attendance at professional academic conferences will make a meaning difference in the lives of our students. We are proud of the dozens of WWU Psychology students who with their professors are co-authors of peer-reviewed journal articles and academic conference presentations.
These vital activities allow students to make essential contributions that are advancing knowledge in the professional academic literature. These activities also provide unique opportunities for students to demonstrate their expertise, learn from others, and network with other students and professionals. Your donation allows this work to continue and also provides new opportunities. Your valued donation to the Department of Psychology allows us to provide financial support to students conducting research and presenting their research at professional conferences.
