Western on the Peninsulas Scholarship Fund
Our students are our highest priority and to assist them in achieving their goals, we are instituting a new scholarship. This scholarship will support the unique needs of students on the Peninsulas be they in Poulsbo, Bremerton or Port Angeles.
We recognize that many of our students will experience financial hardships during this difficult and uncertain time, especially considering so many businesses are closed. These businesses provide jobs to students working their way through school. Many of our Peninsulas students are full-time working professionals who have chosen to pursue their education in order to provide for a better career in the future.
Impact:
Your donations will help support students on the Peninsulas to achieve their degree and their dreams. Our students are your neighbors and colleagues. They come to Western with degrees from our partner institutions like Olympic College and Peninsula College. They have lives here and have chosen to stay in Kitsap as part of their dream. Your support will help our students continue to Learn Where They Live.
Because We Care
We see Western's 5th Annual WWU Give Day as a way for the Western family to show our students how much we care about them. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, University Leadership has identified supporting the most critical needs of students who are facing financial hardship as our top priority. This support comes in many forms - at the University-wide level through the Student Emergency Fund and through our scholarship.
