About

Support Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) and Operations Management through two different goals for this year.

Scholarship Support for MSCM/Ops Students – GOAL: $25,000+

In 2020, the MSCM/Ops program gave $50,000 of scholarship support and there were still more students to be supported. Scholarships provide necessary funding for students to complete their degree with low or no loan debt. Thanks to GiveDay 2019, the department increased their awards and provided two more scholarships.

Consider giving your gift in honor of someone who has had an influence on you and help us get to our goal of $25,000.

APICS Officers Conference and Support – GOAL: $10,000

The ASCM Supply Chain conference is on September 15th through September 17th in New Orleans this year. Supporting our students will allow them the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, represent Western in an international platform and gain connections they will bring back to the campus. Support will go towards:

·         Conference fees and registration,

·         Travel stipends and expenses,

·         Hotel costs.

Our own officers will be logging on WWU Give Day’s website on May 28th and will give $50 each to show their commitment to this effort. The officers have shared if they received the APICS Scholars support provided by ASCM, all funding would go into the APICS fund for future generations of APICS Officers to access.

A personal note from one of our Officers:

"The ASCM national conference is currently the largest gathering of Supply Chain professionals. This is an opportunity that would allow us to further develop ourselves professionally and gain valuable knowledge from Supply Chain leaders. The conference would allow us to build new relationships with industry professionals and other Supply Chain students. The conference covers many educational topics, such as the aspects of the extended supply chain; plan, source, make, deliver, return, enable.

The money that is raised through Give Day will be used to pay for our attendance at the conference. We would like to thank everyone that is able to donate to this cause, we consider it an investment in our future."
