Dance
Moving with the world

WWU Dance students are immersed in physical practice and artistic process of technique, choreography and performance.

Our study highlights contemporary dance, ballet technique, anatomy and kinesiology, partnering, dance for the camera, dance history, and in-depth study of choreography and creative process.

Throughout the year, faculty and students develop relationships with internationally known guest artists.

Your gift expands opportunities for our dancers to meet and work with some of the most diverse and celebrated movement artists today.

WWU Dance students have the unique opportunity to perform works created by renowned guest choreographers:

  • Trisha Brown
  • Anya Cloud
  • Liz Gerring
  • Donald Byrd and Spectrum Dance
  • Alan Good
  • Martha Graham
  • Mark Haim
  • Hannah Kahn
  • Cyrus Khambatta
  • Lar Lubovitch
  • Wade Madsen
  • Susan Marshall
  • Mark Morris
  • Kraig Patterson
  • Joachim Schloemer
  • Doug Varone

Give today to create more opportunities for our students to learn from these amazing artists.
