The first $1,000 to the Small Business Development Center of Poulsbo will be matched dollar for dollar by WWU Foundation Board Member Tony George as an investment in Kitsap County's small business community.

SBDCs offer one-on-one, confidential advanced business counseling and low or no-cost training programs on topics including business planning, accessing capital, marketing, technology development, international trade and much more. SBDCs help entrepreneurs realize the dream of business ownership and give existing business owners a competitive edge in a complex and ever-changing global marketplace.
SBDCs are hosted by leading universities, colleges and state economic development agencies and are funded in part by the U.S. Congress through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
