Womxn of Color Empowerment Scholarship Fund

The Womxn of Color Empowerment Scholarhsip Fund (WCESF) promotes diversity on the Western campus as we celebrate and encourage the achievements of Womxn of color at Western by providing much needed financial support in the form of scholarship funds to current WWU students. The scholarship application is opened prior to the annual Womxn of Color Empowerment Dinner, an event annually held in May, and the winner(s) is/are announced and honored at the dinner. The WOCED dinner and  the WCESF connects Western’s core value of Diversity to community building through the retention of WWU students, and the recruiting of new students of color, while also maintaining strong relationships with alumni, community members, faculty and staff

We appreciate all contributions made to support this endeavor as they are vital to the success of this scholarship. The dinner, educational scholarships, silent auction and student ticket sponsorships are funded by generous sponsorships and donations from local employers, alumni, private individuals and the campus community.

On behalf of the Student Outreach Services' Office, coordinates the awarding of this scholarship, thank you for your support in lifting Womxn of color students on the Western campus to achieve their goals.
