Adoptees Club

WWU Adoptees Alliance provides a safe and inclusive space for all adoptees (international and domestic) as well as those who support adoptees. Our goal is to provide support and understanding to fellow adoptees through community engagement and visibility.

We meet weekly to discuss various topics around adoption such as:

  • identity
  • citizenship
  • forming a community of adoptees on Western's campus

We will be using donations to hold club food outings and to pay for transportation to events like the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival as well as Adoptee Events in the Seattle Area. Obtaining transportation to adoptee networking events in Seattle is something we are in great need of!

We also hold an annual event for November (National Adoption Awareness Month) which showcases our stories as students who are adoptees.
