We are the WWU Club Golf Team! The Club Golf Team is a first-year sports club focused on developing golf skills for all skill levels. We are open to every student, whether it be someone who has never swung a club before or the aspiring pro.
We compete in regional tournaments throughout the Fall and Spring against numerous universities in the Northwest. Our goal is for everyone on the team to get to a level where they feel comfortable playing in a competitive setting. Through weekly practices at our home course of Sudden Valley, we are able to develop skills that can transfer over to competitive golf.
WWU Give Day will be an integral part of our fundraising efforts. Being a new club on campus comes with its disadvantages. We have had to pay out of pocket for every practice, tournament fee, league fee, and travel scenario. Through fundraising, we hope to ease the financial pressures currently on most of our student members. This fundraising will be used first and foremost as a means to pay for our trip to the 2020 NCCGA National Championships. Although we need to qualify for this event, we are confident we can succeed with additional resources at our hands. We would also like to purchase WWU polos for each member so we can look good while representing our school!
Above all else, the WWU Club Golf Team is about community. We have developed amazing friendships over the past year and had a ton of fun in the process. THANK YOU to each and every donor for helping to keep our community afloat.
