Field Trips, Conferences, Travel:
Gifts help ensure that students with limited financial resources are able to fully participate in course offerings.
Speaker Series:
The Institute brings voices of indigenous cultures, science, traditional knowledge, business, non-profit and government sectors. $5000 is needed to support publicity, video services, and honoraria for speakers.
Salish Sea Fellows:
Fellows work on programs, projects, and research to advance the mission of the Institute. Gifts to fund annual fellowship begin at $10,000.
Promoting a Sense of Place on Western’s campus:
Expanding art and signage on campus improves visual connections to the Salish Sea history, culture and ecosystem.
Scholarship Support for Salish Sea Studies Students:
A gift of any size supports the Institute’s scholarship fund.
Convening Critical Conversations:
A gift of any size helps the Institute engage small, focused “critical conversations” on important policy issues.
