Join and support the Western Washington University’s Accounting Department, as this year most proceeds will go to benefit changing the Accounting classes to increase analytical and writing skills. Our primary goal is to get to $30,000 in order to continue the work below.
Our alumni spoke, and we listened. During the course of 2018 we spent a lot of time on the road interviewing our alumni, firms and hearing honest feedback of how to best benefit outgoing graduates. Last year in partnership with the English department, we brought in a Teaching Assistant to work with 3 sections of different Accounting classes to enhance and increase the writing abilities. The results were astounding, 73% of students increased their capabilities in research and clarifying writing skills, 45% improved their analytical skills. We can't stop there - the English department can only provide one teaching assistant so we want to bring in our own dedicated person.
Help us get there by making a contribution today!
The first $7,000 in gifts to Accounting will be matched by Marke Greene, ’93 and Angela Greene, '96 and Rick Anderson, '73 and Lori Anderson (up to $1,000 per donor) as an investment in future accounting professionals. After this a percentage of all gifts will be matched by the general pool!
