The Impact of Your Support

Your support will enable us to provide professional development opportunities for our MIS students.  Examples of activities during the past year include a MIS alumni panel, an interactive panel focusing on internships, visits with industry leaders, and engagement with industry organizations.  

Why We Need Your Support

We must rely on donations to provide extracurricular activities to enhance the professional development of our MIS students.  Your support will be especially important during the upcoming year as funding will be a challenge for many of our students.  

Our Goal

For this year’s WWU Give Day we request your support to fund our “professional readiness” initiatives for the upcoming academic year.  Our goal is to raise $2,000.  Donations of any size are welcome and appreciated!

Donation Matching

All donations made during this year’s WWU Give Day on May 28, 2020 will be matched in some way:

• The first $250 in gifts to the MIS program will be matched dollar for dollar by one of our program's supporters (up to $100 per donor).  
• After the first $250, donations will be matched through WWU’s Give Day Challenge Pool fund. 
• The first 400 current WWU students and recent grads ('18, '19, '20, '21) who donate $10 or more on Give Day will receive a bonus match of $25 thanks to the generosity of Dave Mann and Ann Thompson Mann.
• Does your employer match gifts made to a university?  If so, then your employer may be able to match a portion of your donation.

MIS at WWU

The Management Information Systems (MIS) program at Western Washington University (WWU) is thriving.  To prepare our students for their careers, our program provides a solid foundation of concepts and skills, combined with hands-on assignments and projects.  The classwork is supplemented with extracurricular opportunities to promote "professional readiness."  The job placement for our MIS students has been outstanding.
