Your gift to the Sociology Department will fund student-faculty research, student conference travel, guest speakers, and career networking opportunities. Our greatest need is for gift to our Sociology Scholarship fund. Last year we raised nearly $7,000 on Western Give Day to support this new scholarship.
The Department is thriving—we have over 300 majors currently. This spring we are celebrating the legacies of three long-time faculty members as they move into retirement. Professors' Karen Bradley, Jay Teachman, (Sociology Graduate in '74) and Lucky Tedrow, (Sociology Graduate in '73). They will be missed!
