Support WWU Women's Rowing team!
The Western Washington University women's rowing program has won eight NCAA Division II national championships, including the 2017 team title. The program won seven consecutive championships from 2005 to 2011. Our goal is to elevate the overall experience for our rowing student-athletes while providing essential needs for the women's rowing program. Our goal is to raise $25,000 which enables us to free up resources to directly improve our student-athletes experience like providing them with new gear, opportunities to travel, and additional equipment.
Your Impact
Your gift enables our team to win on the water, in the classroom, and in the community. Building upon the success on the water, we are making a similar mark in the classroom with four athletes being named college Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athletes holding a cumulative GPA over 3.5 and one athlete being named to the CoSIDA District 8 Academic All-District At-Large team with a 3.85 GPA. We also had two athletes named First Team Pocock/CRCA Division II All-Americans.
Your support of the Viking Women's Rowing Team is critical to our continued recognition as leader in both academics and athletics. Your gift ensures that our student-athletes have access to scholarships and the coaching, equipment, travel and healthy meals they need to keep our program at the top of our game.
We are pleased to recognize gifts of $100 or more with membership in the Viking Athletic Club. Your gift makes a direct impact on the lives of our student-athletes and enables our coaches to do what they do best - coach!
Thank you for supporting women's rowing. Our aim is to always return to the NCAA Division II championship and compete for a national championship as well as prepare our rowers for the next chapter of their lives. View our full 2018 schedule here!
