Design is a thriving and evolving department, preparing students for the industry of today as well as tomorrow. Our alumni continue to secure positions in major markets within the professional sector nationally and internationally. Our faculty members are designers pursuing their own scholarship and practices, while dedicating themselves as educators to the students as they pursue their own career goals.

Impact

The curriculum and faculty have always been the strongest aspect of our program. However, Design is a discipline intertwined with technology. With two new faculty members and a dedicated design technician this year, the program is evolving at a rapid pace. We continue to widen the student experience by setting aside funds to support guest speakers, field trips, internships and even study abroad opportunities. At the same time, we’re dedicated to the maintenance of labs and classrooms that include technology that’s crucial to the design of ideas. We’ve set a goal of $10,000 this year for our fundraising campaign, and we’re hoping you’ll partner with us to help keep the Design Department a program that you’re proud of.
