WWU Women's Ultimate team (a.k.a Chaos) is proud to announce that due to our performance at Regionals, we won a bid to compete at Nationals! We are eager to see the results of the effort and hard work we put into training for this moment. But this program is bigger than just frisbee.
One of Ultimate’s central tenets is Spirit of the Game. This is the concept that the joy we experience from playing the sport is more important than any rivalry or competition. This translates to a sport in which athletes hold each other at the highest regard and we rely on integrity and honesty to keep play fair, as we are self-refereed.Chaos is an incredibly unique team and takes this idea of Spirit of the Game to a new level.
We are engaged in local community issues, continuously striving to create spaces on and off the field to tackle issues like racism, classism, gender divisions, and accessibility. We participate in AGE UP, the Women's March, and even have created our own events to invite others to continue to have these big conversations.
Our travel expenses to Milwaukee will amount to $15,000+. Between flights, car rentals, and player’s fees, this is a financial obstacle we cannot overcome on our own. We are reaching out to you, our friends and family, to ask for your help.
Thank you so much for your support!
“Trust. Love. Grit. Chaos.”
